Piano Barili Five Character Pieces Solo Piano
Winner - Music Makes a Difference Award
Looking forward to many more years of service
Born in Italy in 1854 to a family that Guiseppe Verdi called "a constellation of stars," Alfredo Barili immigrated to New York as a child and moved to Atlanta in 1880 where he worked as a composer, pianist, conductor, teacher, entrepreneur and administrator. This special edition created for the inaugural Atlanta International Piano Competition presents five of his most delightful works, including Cradle Song which was placed between Bach and Beethoven in a listing of popular repertoire at the turn of the century. Intermediate students will enjoy the beauty and charm that characterize Barili's works.
