The Conn trumpet has a rich history beginning with Colonel Charles Gerard Conn in 1875 who built the first American made cornet in Elkhart, Indiana. The current Conn 66B trumpet is all American made; proudly produced in Eastlake, Ohio. The 66B is carefully designed as a professional trumpet but priced as an affordable intermediate. Conn trumpets are recognized for their unique tone color and refusal to “break up” even at the most extreme dynamics making it one of the most versatile trumpets in the world.
The Conn 66B Bb trumpet offers a .462 bore with a responsive 4-7/8” beautifully engraved seamless bell for easy projection and control. The professional Monel piston material provides smooth and quick action. The 66B is well-braced and built to be durable; constructed mostly by hand. There is an additional water key added to this model. The vintage 1st valve ring allows for easy intonation adjustments. The durable silver-plate finish provides a controlled brilliance to the overall sound; the bright silver plate looks great on the field and on the stage. Parts are readily available and are kept in stock. The Conn 66B is one of the most versatile trumpets today; perfect for the advancing student or advanced player – well suited for all types of music.
