A B-stock trumpet is a brand-new instrument that is fully functional and structurally sound but has minor cosmetic imperfections that prevent it from being sold as "A-stock" (i.e., factory first-quality). These imperfections might include:

• Small scratches or scuffs in the finish
• Slight lacquer inconsistencies
• Tiny dents or tooling marks
• Engraving blemishes or plating flaws

Despite these visual flaws, B-stock trumpets play exactly the same as standard models and often come with a full manufacturer’s warranty, though sometimes the finish may be excluded. They're a great way to save money on a professional instrument without compromising on performance.
