The textured surface of Remo's Renaissance drumheads is excellent for use with sticks, brushes and mallets, and provides a wider yet more balanced sound spectrum for both snares and tom-toms. The single layer of 7.5 mil Mylar flim, combined with the textured surface produces a slightly warmer tone than the Clear and Suede Diplomat drumheads.
